It’s like a digital photo frame for pixel art, but way cooler. Each pixel is projected by a powerful LED though a mesh chamber and onto a sheet of white vellum. Colors are strictly isolated, and a black silkscreen sharply defines the grid. Since there is no global backlight, the visual effect is like a mix of traditional movie screen and OLED. It’s quite unique.

This is the first major revision of Game Frame since the Kickstarter Edition. It includes new features like:

  • More powerful hardware that boosts the frame rate from 24 to 60 fps
  • A handheld remote control
  • Time-based automatic brightness
  • Vastly superior timekeeping
  • Combined Game & Clock features
  • Battery backup
